Did you know that Goats were the first domesticated animal? The first domesticated animals that were domesticated were sought out for their meat, milk, and hides. Dogs are an example of an animal that was first domesticated for one job, but they no longer do that job. Originally they were used for hunting but nowadays we mainly use them as pets. Most of the animals we know today as being domesticated have drastically changed from their wild ancestors.
